And I'm back again! My Interests are still in my letter from three years ago; I haven't changed those at all. I hope you like the prompts I've given you, dear author!
I Would Do Anything For Love (But I Won't Do That) - Meat Loaf (Music Video)
(This is the best version I could find! Sorry for the double-framing on it!)
When I was fourteen years old, I loved the hell out of this video and its gothic melodrama. I really want anything that goes a little deeper with the video's mythology. How did the beast get cursed? How did he invent his system for spying on The Woman. What happens to his brides that've been left behind - do they catch up? What happens after they ride off into the distance on his motorcycle?
What is The Woman thinking of? What's it like for them in a hundred years? Is he immortal, now that I've thought of it? Do they have to deal with the police forever? Does he transform between beast and man depending on his mood? Is he true to his vows to be a good partner?
And what of the wives? How did he collect them? Are they just delusions? Do they have inner lives? Do they survive without him? What if they'd all teamed up with the Woman and had escaped the monster to run away? I'm very interested in world building for this one but if you want something much lighter feel free to run with it!
If you'd like to, I wouldn't mind some PWP with the wives and The Woman, and like The Monster/The Woman as a romantic pairing.
The Heiress - 1949
Oh Catherine Sloper, I freaking adore you. There's such a core of iron to her in this, yet she's a human, vulnerable woman. Her well-earned wiseness lifts my heart and I really love seeing what sort of stuff you can create from her story.
So what happens after the movie's conclusion? Does she ever let Morris back into her life? Does he stay on the outside? Who does she become in time? Does she find love with another? Does she end up finding joy in a singular existence?
What if Morris had indeed arrived to elope with her? Would the marriage have gone well? Or would he have swindled her? How would she have survived that? I still love the idea of Catherine growing and finding he own inner strength so I'd rather she never be his victim.
What of Morris' background? Has he ever been true to someone and been burned for it? Will he ever learn to be true to anyone?

I adore the movie this musical stems from, and the musical itself knocked me on my butt when I saw it. Jenna is so wonderful, and I desperately want any sort of fic about her!
Give me some backstory on her - her teens, the years she sings about in "She Used To Be Mine." Tell me what her life is like post-Earl, with Lulu and the girls at the pie shop. Give me anything at all centered on Jenna and I'll be thrilled! Even the wildest of AUs would please me - just imagine her as a magic pie-making witch!
Burn Notice
I'm really into Fiona Glenanne - a tiny woman who survived a house full of brothers and the death of her sister to become a major gun-runner on the FBI's most wanted list. I think Fi sacrificed a lot of herself in the series' later seasons to keep her relationship with Michael going and a lot of me misses the stylish, fun, free happy Fi.
I also love Sam: happy, loose, drunk, wise-cracking Sam who would kill in the name of a child and who would die in the name of a friend.
But I'm shipping alter-canon; I really like the development, the fire and spark, in her relationship with Sam. I wouldn't mind a flat-out romantic story about the both of them. Pure smut would be adored and squealed over. Some top-Fi/bottom-Sam action? Or some flat-out romance.
Character pieces for either - especially childhood stories, and childhood stories about Christmas, for Sam in particular. I feel like we didn't get to learn a lot about that part of his life in canon. Tell me about what sort of people they become after Fi leaves for Ireland (if you want to keep canon intact), and tell me about how they both grew up and learned to accept each other as friends. Give me some old navy stories for Sam. Tell me about what it was like for Fiona to break away from the IRA. Tell me about that incident where they first met minus Michael.
Feel free to use Michael and Madeline in supporting roles, but I'd rather Michael not be the focal point of the story.
Short Circuit (1986)
Talk about movie comfort food! Short Circuit's a movie about a robot that gets struck by lightning and develops a soul. He becomes friends with Stephanie Speck, who has multiple pets and takes a shine to him, and Newton Crosby, his inventor and mechanic. Together they try to hide Number 5 from the government and shepherd him to safety.
I want all of the post-movie fic; Newton, Stephanie and Number Five on their farm and what their daily life is like. You can include canon from Short Circuit 2, as long as he returns back to his (other) family. Or you can give me something more about Stephanie and Newton's relationship! Or clips from their road trip to the farm! All of the fluff!
The Witch (2016)
This movie was such an atmospheric, creepy little shocker. I really want more about Thomasin after the movie. Does she live a long life? See the world? Make it to the 20th century? What innocents does she draw into her web over time? Do her powers bore her? Have limits? Does she develop regrets? Sray? Learn some ugly things about Black Phillip she'd rather not know? Train others? discover that her powers were a hallucinogenic folly? Is what she dreams of nothing more than a fantasy to pass the time as her family falls apart? What happened to the twins? Does she age? What are the rules and hierarchy of the coven? Does she meet other witches? Meet her doom to a witch hunter? Survive the trials? Go as Crueltide as you like with this one!
